Aviation Australia’s courses provide you with the essential training required to begin your career in Aircraft Maintenance. We also offer courses for employees already in the industry who are looking to upskill or advance their careers.

Aviation Australia’s Diploma of Aircraft Maintenance Engineering training is approved and recognised by both the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) and the Australian Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) for the purposes of aircraft maintenance engineer licensing. EASA sets the world standard for aircraft maintenance engineering allowing Aviation Australia graduates to pursue careers in aircraft maintenance in Australia and around the globe.

  • Diploma of Aircraft Maintenance Engineering – Avionics TB2
  • Dual Diploma of Aircraft Maintenance Engineering – TB1 and TB2

Diploma of Aircraft Maintenance Engineering – Mechanical TB1

General

Age 18+ (17 years will be considered on a case by case situation)

Educational

Recognised educational qualifications equivalent to Australian Year 12

English Language

  • Proficiency in English as determined by the International English Language Testing Services (IELTS) Minimum standard required by Aviation Australia is an IELTS result with an overall band score of 5.5 and no sub band below 5.0
  • Completion of a suitable qualification from an Aviation Australia English Pathway school listed instead of an IELTS certificate
  • Sunsea may be approached for further information on IELTS including testing centres in your country, and booking and registration.

Visa Requirements

  • International applicants wishing to enrol in this program with Aviation Australia will require a student visa may be applicable.  You will need to investigate the visa requirements with your local Australian Diplomatic Mission

Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC)

  • The granting of a visa to study in Australia is dependant on the applicant obtaining OSHC

This is a full time course consisting of structured theory and practical tuition delivered over 18 months.

Course Outcome

Upon successful completion, individuals will receive a:

  • Diploma of Aircraft Maintenance Engineering – Mechanical TB1
  • Certificate of Recognition (EASA or CASA) of regulatory authority examination credits 

Diploma of Aircraft Maintenance Engineering – Avionics TB2
